Parks & Recreation Board

     The members of this board serve a five-year term assessing township parks and the recreational needs of Marlborough Township residents.  It also reviews development plans and provides advisory recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.  The recreation board adopts rules and regulations for the conduct of all business within its area of jurisdiction and exercise powers and functions concerning parks and recreation facilities as may be delegated to it by the Board of Supervisors.  The recreation board shall submit an annual report including an analysis of the adequacy and effectiveness of community recreation areas, facilities and leadership.

Technical Advisory Committee

     Members of this advisory committee meet monthly or on an as needed basis to provide technical knowledge and expertise to the township related to computer systems, computer applications and information technology.  It also may advise the township on its website design and maintenance.  The committee may also advise the township in areas involving cellular communications technology, cable service and the high-speed Internet.

Green Lane and Marlborough Joint Sewer Authority

     The Board of Supervisors appoints three members of the joint authority to a five-year term. Green Lane Borough Council appoints three members, also. The Authority is charged with the administration, design, finance, maintenance and operation of the public sanitary sewer system that services approximately 550 households and businesses located within Green Lane Borough, the Village of Sumneytown and a portion of Marlborough Township along a segment of Geryville Pike. The authority board meets monthly at the municipal building. A Solicitor and Professional Engineer are retained to provide legal, design, maintenance and operating advice as deemed necessary.
